It is also your back and stomach that have to be trained. Make sure to practice your ball control. It can be very difficult to keep the ball tight to your feet. But it´s very good if a defender comes for the ball and you have the ball close to your feet. Then it is easy to avoid him and continue for the goal. Here is an exercise for that.

1.Place around ten cones in a line about a half-meter between every cone.

2.Take your ball and try to do slalom between them. Start of slowly and get used to it. Make sure that your capable to higher the tempo and slowly increase the pace.

3. Try to use both of your feet so your ball control doesn’t provide your strong foot.
Then your in a game can situations appear where you got to use your weak foot.

4. Start of with your strong foot and try to control the ball with just one foot. When you fell that you have become commutable with the ball switch foot and do the same.

But as a football player you can´t just run around and chase the ball. You got to understand the game and how it works. You can simply understand the game better by playing in a football team. As a midfielder your job is to distribute the ball to the wingers and forwards. Because of that you need to be good at passing and pass creatively and use finesse. To be great at passing can take a long time. It is many circumstances that can affect your play. Even if your great in training you can get stressed and make bad decisions in a match.

1. To this exercise you need a mate that you can pass to.

2. Start to pass stationary close to each other.

3. After a while you can start to move and read in what direction your mate is going.

4. Lay some distance between you and your friend. Pass by doing a long cross pass. Try to make the ball fly high to evade defenders.

Good luck!
